What’s Your Favorite?
In this world we all have favorite things. Children have a favorite doll or meal to eat McDonald’s. We as adults have lots of favorite things. There is our favorite friend, shirt or outfit, car or vehicle, things to do and let’s not forget our favorite FOOTBALL TEAM. But now of this stuff is really important. I have been watching football for many years and my team NEVER listens to me. So what is the point of having favorite things. Well, they help to make up or personality. All of these things tell someone something about us. This idea has had me thinking. So what is your favorite bible verse? My favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 9:24-27. You see I love to go running and these verses speak to me about what and now we are to live. I need to run my race. I need to get the crown. I need to run with a purpose and not get disqualified for the prize. I have read these few simple verses many times over in my life. Times when I struggled with sin and life. Also, at times when life couldn’t be better. God always has something new for me when I read these verses. So what is your favorite verse? Please, leave a comment and a reason why it is your favorite verse. May God Bless all who read this!
Ben Men’s Ministry
Ben,
My favorite verse for right now is 1 Samuel 17:45. My favorite verse is always changing as God shows me new things in His Word. The verse says David said to the Philistine” You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”
The reason is the enemy can come against us with physical weapns to try to destroy us but we can come against him with the power of God working through us. If we would only realize the power that is available to us, we would be amazed at what we would see accomplished in life through us.
