Bountiful Blessing Drive for Products
Good morning, Church family.
I am excited that we have begun our product drive for Bountiful Blessings. In the last two weeks, we have collected over 400 cleaning supply items. This includes 150 items donated from our Lavelle Church. This means that our past session on September 27th and our next session scheduled for Oct 11th, we will be self-suffucient. This week, we ministered to 27 families, 5 of which were new to the program. Please! If you are able, please bring items with you on Sunday morning and we will again get enough items to supply the need. It takes around 250 items a session to be self-supportive.
Ministry to Lisa Lake Residents
This morning I was awakened by an idea to help the flood victims in our area. I faxed a letter to the Highpire Homes corporate office concerning the people at Lisa Lake. My letter invited the residents to be a part of Bountiful Blessings and to get personal care items and cleaning suppies. The letter asked for suggestions of ways that we could get this information out to the people who lived there and the people at the corporate office have graciously taken it upon themselves to make copies and distribute it to the residents through the main office located right in Lisa Lake.
Upcoming Events
Hello everyone! I hope you have managed to keep your head above water these last few days. My family is continuing to pray for those affected by the waters.
I wanted to take a minute to let you know some upcoming dates that you might want to make note of on your calendars. First event that is approaching is the annual trick-or-treat ministry. Trick-or-treat in Middletown should be October 27. I will be placing an announcement soon asking for donations of individually wrapped candies.
Prayer for the community
Church Family,
Please continue to be in prayer for those that have been evacuated from their homes and those that are fighting to keep water out of their basements. It would be a great time to look around and see who you might be able to bless at this time. It is not always the ones crying the loudest that need a hand. Be looking and be sensitive to the person or persons that the Lord lays on your heart.
Let Me Hear From Rosedale
Lets see how many are reading the posts! Give me a sermon title for this picture. Post it in the comments section.
Fall Fest is Coming
Mark your calendars now! Fall Fest will be Saturday, October 29th. There will be fun, games and FOOD! We will have an inflatable for the kids (weather permitting), as well as games and crafts.
Adding to this year’s fun is the first annual chili cook-off. Do you have a great recipe for chili already? If not, start looking now. There is plenty of time to perfect it.
Stay tuned for more updates as the date gets closer!

The church will provide the paper products and grill. You are asked to bring your own meat to grill and a side and drink to share. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
Kids Reaching Kids
Throughout the week of VBS the kids were collecting for the Kids Reaching Kids project. This year those monies are going toward purchasing school supplies, materials and scholarships for students at Nazarene schools and child development centers. The kids raised $509.44!
I think we can do more. If you’re interested in helping in this worthwhile cause, designate the amount on your tithe envelope or check for Kids Helping Kids. Together we can make a difference for students who need to have the ingredients necessary for a successful school year!
